Here we’ll explain what gives you priority when our system distributes orders, and how to increase your priority.
What is order priority?
Our service is fully automated. It suggests orders to vehicles based on order requirements. Most often, orders go to the driver who can reach the pickup address fastest.
But if there’s a car nearby with a higher priority, it gets suggestion for the order even if it is a bit further away. In other words, the higher a driver’s priority, the less time they spend without orders and the faster new orders are suggested.
For example, a user requests an Economy ride. A car is found 500 meters from the user, but the driver doesn’t have any priority. However, there’s another driver 600 meters away who has priority. This ride request would be first suggested to the second car.
What priority gives drivers
When all other conditions are equal, our system will first choose the driver with priority, i.e. he’ll be offered more orders when online. In other words, he’ll spend less time without an order and gets possibility to earn more.
How to get priority points
Order priority is calculated in points earned by meeting certain requirements.
To earn additional points:
Brand your vehicle
Increase your rating
Complete orders for the service over an extended period of time.
The full list of activities that increase or decrease priority and the number of priority points earned will depend on where you complete orders.
How to check your priority level
You can view your current priority in the top left corner of the main screen of Yango Pro mobile app. Tap the icon and a window with details opens up. Here you can see the points you’ve already earned, and what you can do to earn even more.
Tap any of the requirements for more information.
Yango has the right to change priority terms and conditions to optimize service operations, including in force majeure circumstances.
Trips booster Additional priority points for active drivers
Additional priority points are added once a week. The service evaluates driver activity to reward drivers who are online regularly with +4 priority points. The higher a driver’s priority, the more trip requests they receive to increase earnings.
To get priority points in Zambia:
In 6 of the last 8 weeks, drivers have to spend at least 60 hours a week online.
Points are added automatically every Tuesday. If not, it means that the driver wasn’t active enough. To earn additional priority points, the driver can spend more time online completing trips. Next week, the chance of earning the additional priority points will be higher.
